Is it better to have a really big lens filter rings and StepUp, or simply to fit the main goal you have?
My main goal is a size 77mm filter. Should I get 82 or more step, so I'm protected if I get a wider lens, so you have to buy more, or should just get the 77 mm?
mono is correct. with polarizers, the effect is obtained with wide-angle lenses can be unpleasant. depending on its content image if you will notice. polarizers cover about a 90deg field of view, where a wide angle lens will cover a wider field of vision. This means, above all objects of flat color, the colors change with the Fram. some do not mind the look, I do. 77 mm is all that need, and recommend b & w.
