Anyone know how to make a stunning self-portrait without using a remote control or timer on the camera?
I just started school Photography and I was eager to see if anyone had an idea for a self-portrait assignment we have to do the last week of class. Must be a self-portrait and the catch is that we can not use a remote control or timer on the camera to take the picture. We must be the one making the picture too. The only thing I can think is the use of water, glass or a mirror to make, but that does not seem very creative to me. Anyone have any idea? Could I use a ND filter with a long shot and referred to promptly to the lens after taking the vaccine? I appreciate any help you can get.
Another option is to establish a very dark place … ie the country at night …. configure the camera for a long exposure (perhaps a minute) and a central opening (such as 5.6 or 8). Put the camera on a (tripod strong construction) and retaining a flash. If the flash has a power setting, (most machines do), try to set for the adjustment applies to your openness that you have set on the camera. Then walk somewhere in the frame and 'pop' the flash so that the lights …. then walk to a different place and do it again …. Will have multiple "you" in the context …. Basically, if it is dark enough that you only where you and flash light … Digital makes this easier because you can immediately review the results, but it is still possible in a movie.
