difference between the USB host and USB client?
Can anyone explain what is the difference between USB host and USB client? how they function differently? the PDAs was looking for customer support only USB .. I can connect my digital Canon camera this PDA and do a remote capture (running Canon capture software remotely)?
Think about this: The desktop PC is a USB host, and all the peripherals that are plugged into customers. I think the manufacturer of your PDA way to put it that way because you should not connect your PDA directly into a desktop computer. Every time you see the word "host" then that usually refers to hardware and software that hosts or manages something. Customer 'A' is something that must connect to a compatible host, so that it works. no I am familiar with the PDA, but if in doubt, consult the manufacturer's website PDA or e-mail to technical support staff. I think it might work if your PDA supports USB flash memory devices. I know Windows XP has integrated support for USB flash devices, so if you connect a camera, a flash MP3 player, or a USB Flash Memory, Windows XP will devices like an external hard drive. Maybe your PDA works the same way. Canon's software only works with the operating system / Computer was intended. Check your manual.
