Can I use regular alkaline batteries in digital cameras aimed at a lithium-ion?
Do not even know for sure what a web of Lithium-ion is seen as normal and if AA or whatever fits in the slot. I go to a region where there is no electricity and do not know how to keep the camera running. I'm thinking to buy the Panasonic Lumix TZ3. Any suggestions for any higher end point and shoot cameras with regular batteries? This is a package batteries. I do not think that using individual batteriws I'm looking at the camera.
No, of course, can not use AA batteries in a camera using a Li-ion battery! And you should never use regular alkaline batteries, anyway … they do not have enough power to operate a digital camera camera long at all. If you are a part of the world have no electricity, so the only sensible and realistic camera to use … is one of the batteries AA used (and not including the TZ3). Not to worry, because there are better cameras available, anyway. Your best option would be lithium battery AA non-rechargeable, such as Energizer e2. These batteries are long lasting (up to 600 shots) and have an extremely long life. They are quite expensive, but would best option for you … and you can literally take as much as you want to go.
