Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 Shutter problem?
My daughter has a problem with the shutter on your Cybershot. The lens does not extend fully and zoom the case of get a beep and a warning to close. As a result of the images are not focused. You can hear the slow struggle to open, so I guess that's the catch itself same. The camera is used from time to time, kept clean in one case and to my knowledge has not had poured over him. In fact, the camera looks new. Any ides of how to release the target and if it is not cost effective remedy? We live in the UK. The battery is not the problem and this was my first thought. Also I can see that the camera never left and my daughter is confirmed (which is 32 what's care.) Thanks for the input though.
It seems that the camera has run out batteries or dropped at a time when it was on and the lens extended. However, the mechanism that relaxes and retracts the lens is damaged.
