Cleaning lenses?
I have five digital innovations Merkury care kit piece that came with my digital video camera as part of a team. The cleaning solution of the lens is composed of water and isopropyl alcohol. Is this solution OK to use for cleaning my Tamron SP AF 28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD lens?
If the liquid is fine, but do not put directly into the lens .. lot instead target tissue and apply a drop of liquid in it and then gently wipe the lens … Do not use your finger to press hard on the target. This can damage the lens coating that may be present. Best is to put a skylight or UV filter on the lens to protect it from dust or damage. A $ 15 filter is easier and less expensive to replace.
