How can you tell if a bolt action rifle has been fired?
I recently purchased a FN A5 for $ 1,900. They are sold as second hand, but unfired. Upon closer inspection at home, I noticed some wear on the portions of the bolt. I know it was test fired 3 times. I did not smell solvents when I bought it and the hole looked very clean. I cleaned it and sent me some powder to waste drilling, pin, and the camera. Still I have to test fire and sight in my scope, but I wonder if I have been fooled. I was told that the buyer is put on lay-away and then they could not afford. Is there I can control something that is not fired over the three test fired.
I'm not sure why you bought this gun? Unexposed Fire is a one time thing and three shots fired means test! Only [was taken] if for the collection, which is important uncooked.
