How do you clean the sand of a digital camera?
dumb dumb dumb. KODAK EASYSHARE took my (4MP) to a sandy beach and some must have in the case of the lens (that retracts and extends). i can remove all the screws, but can not 100%, supported as the on / off rotation stradles up in the front and back cover. when you turn the camera lens housing only goes half way … as if the sand is stuck there. any idea brilliant to get it working again?
The same thing happened to me. The lens barrel, not detract. One tip, DO NOT do it yourself. Not I can emphasize this enough. There's a reason they call to send a professional to get it fixed.
