Any advice to become either an editor or a film director?
I'm in grade 11 and I live in Ontario Canada. Im still debating whether to be a film editor or director. I'm looking at Ryerson University and Sheridan College. Does anyone have any helpful advice / information to a director film editor? And what do you think would be a better job, director or film editor?
Go to film school. Buy Final Cut (is a standard industry). Shoot a bunch of short films. Edit them. The more experienced the better. Cinema schools, despite the naysayers, put on the right track.
