Muslin or canvas?
My wife just opened a photographic studio, so I'm trying to get some information on the design and preparation against backdrops also pay $ 200 for them. What is the best canvas, canvas or muslin? What kind of paint to use one, or does Dye should be used? If there is any literature that explains the question I have a head to be good too.
This response is based entirely on what I know about these fabrics … muslin fabric is finer than canvas, and allow more light to pass through it. In some cases it may be a bit see-through case the light from behind it if it is hung on the wall. Choose the most ideal results are based on that, but I would say that painting better. In addition, the dye will change the color of the fabric, but do not block more light / less transparent. Making fabric painting, especially painting, completely opaque (Heavy and tend to form cracks if the paint is applied correctly). On the other hand, a dyed muslin curtain would probably be an interesting and very attractive backdrop. If you can not find books on photography backdrops painting in particular, then craft books to make floor cloths painted at least give you the basics paint designs on canvas fabrics that need to maintain flexibility.
