What is a good digital camera?
I'm looking to buy a digital camera in the next week or so, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Are there specific brands I should stay away from? I was thinking about getting either a Nikon or Canon one. Maybe even an HP printer. Also I'm thinking of printing my own photos because I have a photo printer. Do you mind if I get to 7 mega pixels instead of a 10 mega pixels? Do I need to buy a memory card and if so how many GB?
I'd go for the barrel or other brand that has been in the field of the camera for many years. Not HP. Even Kodak digital are very good. It is not necessary to assign megapixels unless you plan on printing large images. 5 or 6 pixes mega are more than enough to 5×7's. Really though, you can print your own copies cheaper than you can do them at CVS or Walgreens. I tried print mine for several years and is fun and all, but for quality and cost, can not beat the Kodak Picture Perfect development. As a memory card depends whether one comes with the camera or not. If you plan to take lots of pictures, get at least 1 GB. Hope this helped. Good luck.
