digital camera filters explained
Digital Camera Filters?

Ok, so I have three filters for my new camera and I have some basic knowledge but I was waiting for someone more and better explain them to give examples of when to use them? They 1.Uv filter 2. Fluorescent 3.Polarizer

1. A UV filter serves mainly as a lens protector. It is completely transparent to visible light, so it has no effect on color balance of the image. When used with the film, sometimes may have the effect of removing blue color of an image. Digital and normally has no UV sensitivity, however, so it really does nothing to protect the lens. 2. A filter is used with fluorescent color film to correct the imbalance of color of fluorescent lamps and make the photos taken under fluorescent neutral aspect. With digital, it really is useless, since you can adjust this in the camera using the white balance function. 3. A polarizer has two main roles in the photograph. The first is to eliminate reflections from nonmetallic surfaces (windows, water, etc.) The second is that it can be used in certain scenes to increase color saturation. In particular, it will darken a blue sky, and eliminate reflections of green foliage to make it appear greener.
