Is it possible to use a replacement lithium-Info-Part III of a SONY digital camera?
Hello! Please … I have a shot Sony DSC-S50 Cyber-digital camera, and I think it's time for a change of battery. The model number on my battery is: NP-FM50. This battery is the original battery and comes with the camera. It is labeled as an "InfoLITHIUM" battery. Please, it is mandatory that a spare battery for SONY, in particular or am I safe in an online order lithium battery compatible or elsewhere? If so, the online site is recommended? One site suggests that sometimes the battery other manufacturers do not always work in Sony digital cameras. Sony, of course, suggests that use their brand of accessories. I've had luck with compatible batteries for my old Sony digital camera. But I heard that the new Sonys have a way to check if the battery is a genuine Sony InfoLITHIUM battery. The best thing is to work with a local vendor that has a good policy return – such as Best Buy or Circuit City.
