Why are channels called "Maestro" and "slaves"?
For a dual channel power supply units DC.
Because in a way, the foldback voltage and controls the "master" channel will also affect "slave" output. This is useful when you want to split power supplies perfectly symmetrical on rails, for example, to work with operational amplifiers. Also means you can connect the supply in series (knowing that the same current foldback) or parallel (knowing that both will produce the same voltage).
