Why are deleted images displayed on my memory card?
I took some photos with an Olympus Camedia, download pictures to my computer, and then erased the card before taking new pictures. But when I hooked the camera to my computer again to download the pictures again, I saw that they were the same photos as I had removed beforehand. In the chamber, however, I can see the new pictures. I think it has something to do with the names of camera functions me. Instead of continuing with the numbering (for example, is a set P1-P7, P8 following set-p …), must start again at the first default file name. My computer Ubuntu is running, if that's important, but I have not had this problem with other cameras or memory cards. How I can fix this problem? I clicked in a "card" before taking further the photos not just delete them. : (
The best way to handle this is to simply reformat the card in the camera after being dumped photos to your computer. The reason can be seen after you remove it you really do not delete photos when you press the delete button. What actually happens is that the camera makes the image as safe to overwrite. Also, labels, telling the camera ignore the pictures in the photo review, and ignore when it says how much space is left for photos on the card. That's why people can use that software to resuce images. Anyway, the computer is ignoring or not reading the labels correctly.
