SLR Camera Canon Digital Rebel XSi or Nikon D60?
I am a beginner looking to switch to SLR cameras. I found good deals on both the XSI and D60. Which is better? Please give me information for comparison as much as possible as this is a great thing for me. I would be buying the zoom 55-200mm lens for either camera.
Nikon I've had since the 70s and still love them. recommend the Nikon D60. The D60 is a high level SLR. It allows you to have control over your shots to go with your skill level. Everything from a flexible programming mode, where the camera does a lot of the functions of a fully manual, where you set everything as you wish. It provided good quality images. The D60 will give you a number of things you want. Has latest firmware image processors, designed for the 10 mp sensor. It has an "active dust reduction system with airflow control." Nikon not putting a system in D40 to deal with dust is one of the biggest drawbacks I see to the D40 (though I think it's still a great camera for the money) If you change lenses dust entering the camera and need a system to deal with it. With the D60 you get a VR lens. That will help low-light situations (which may offer that now with the D40 but originally it was not). The D60 has a dynamic range of adaptation. Nikon calls it "Active D-Lighting, which allows you to save a few highlights that my otherwise be lost. Account with better measurement system newer than the D40. Some people try to make a big deal about the fact that some major design autofocus lenses not in this camera. The AF-S and AF-I AF. Other lenses work very well also have to focus manually. There are plenty of lenses in the Nikon line is AF for every day you can find a lens in the range you want to autofocus. But if you do not mind manual focus you can get some more big glasses cheap.
