Does anyone know of a good camera case that fits the Fujifilm S1000fd?
I'm thinking of buying a Fujifilm S1000fd and am looking for a good case for go with it. I have seen the case that Fujifilm does it, but I'm looking for an alternative. Suggestions?
In the old days (when I walked shooting of dinosaurs with the movie), I dragged around a camera bag good size, which contains, besides the big clumsy SLR, my secondary objective (Usually a telephoto or zoom) filters, several rolls of film, note paper and pens, trigger cable, bulb blower and clean the lens blank model release forms, a pair of granola bars and some other odds and ends. When I got my first digital camera, it was a covenant Fuji Finpix and fit comfortably in a backpack. Digital My next was considerably larger, almost as big as my old film SLR. It could be crowded in my backpack, but this beast depleted AA batteries that I can polish a plate of ribs. I use rechargeable NiMHs, but a day of filming one can go through five groups of four batteries easy. So I found a very good alternative in the Buxton Organizer Bag shown in television commercials. Has plenty of room for the camera with separate compartments for my extra rechargeable batteries, one for my memory cards, one for a package of eight regular alkaline batteries and notebook and pens, Plus velcro'd hand bag for my cell phone. The only problem I have is that it is a soft-sided bag, which offers no protection much impact. But, as they often have the camera hanging from a strap around my neck, not really a problem. For only twenty dollars, is proved to be an investment very good.
