What is the BEST digital compact on the market?
PLEASE READ ALL I need some advice from you all. What is the best camera compact digital market is around or under 250 pounds ($ 420) I know my way around digital SLR, though, I'm needing a picture taker ideal for camping and traveling. And as you know carrying a large DSLR and lens is an effort sucky when thousands of miles from home. The image quality is most importantly, has to be the best I can get for my money. The G-10 is out of my price range and I've been looking at the Canon IXUS 100 IS, however, is low in the zoom range compared with others. What are my options on this market? What can recommend u all and there is any good website for comments and so on. Thanks in advance 
The Ixus is a fashionable camera and can not be a match for the G-10, you might try searching the G9 or G7. Also the Panasonic LX range older is a good match for the Canon G-series. Personally, I like the look of the Fujifilm F200EXR and F70EXR personnel (soon to be released) that have really good sensors, that produce high dynamic range and in good ISO1600 images.
