Which of the following entry-level DSLR camera should I buy?
A Nikon D40 with 18-55mm lens and battery grip £ 300 or Sony Alpha A200 with 18-70mm lens with a 4GB memory card for $ 270 Nikon takes SD memory that I have several, but Sony minus costs, and comes with memory. The Nikon comes with a battery grip, has a wide range of accessories and is a more robust camera, but Sony has a continuous shooting mode faster 9 AF points instead of point 3, and a self cleaning sensor. I am very influenced by Sony. I've never been one to be influenced by brand names, and Sony definitely seems to offer More for your money. Just to elaborate, the benefit of those who suggested the Nikon D90 and Canon 450D. My budget ceiling is £ 300, so the models cameras are out of my price range
