Camera question?? please help ?!?!?
I am looking to buy a new digital camera / video camera. I was thinking Aiptek MPVR in getting the goal, its only $ 150 there. which says it has a 6.0MP camera, video player, voice recorder, night mode, TV, DVD and VHS recorder and mp3 player. think I should get? or is it a scam?
Review I found ************ Product Review: Aiptek Digital Camcorder MPVR THE DREAM OF THE HOUSE OF TAPELESS For two years I have been in search of the perfect low-end, low cost, flash memory, camcorder. This search has proved more illusory than you ever imagined. For some mysterious reason, this product, which singular purpose is to film and record the video compression for the web does not exist in any pure form. This leaves me scratching my head for a number of reasons. First Instead, the proliferation of cameras with flash video memory in hundreds of cell phones, PDAs and digital cameras, calls for the development of small devices low cost that can record video with multiple purposes. Second, the recent explosion of video on the net, epitomized by YouTube and Google Video as well as Myspace entry of News Corp in the realm of video transmission. Third, and less obvious is the success of Tivo and other Digital Video Recorders. These ideas are manifested to me last week, when I found the digital video camera in the first place I met my objectives. It was no practical reason whatsoever that I at Best Buy last Thursday. When I left, I had in my possession a MPVR Aiptek, I have acquired, along with a 1GB SD card for under $ 250. I never spend more than $ 150 an impulse buy, and I certainly should not have, however, I felt a ringing in the package I saw the indiscriminate filing of this could be the I'm looking product. The MPVR Aiptek camera is marketed as a six-in-one (6MP digital video recorder, MP3 player, voice recorder, video player webcam). I will not speak of all these functions since I am primarily the attributes of video recording, but I mention this to illustrate a point. There are many devices low-cost hybrid in the market, and as expected, are mostly terrible. These products are poorly designed and completely inadequate for all purposes practical. The controls are placed in the wrong place, the menus are not intuitive, the cameras have very poor picture quality and video quality is the most terrible terrible. I must conclude that the purpose of these products neato is that people think they are doing a good business without realizing they have to pay an additional $ 50 – $ 100 for a flash card. THERE IS A LIGHT Aiptex MPVR is by no means a panacea, but it is the best example of value and performance in a low-end tapeless camcorder I seen. After several years of new cameras sold through various distributors Schlock, Aiptek has become a dignified and sophisticated brand. Your camcorder is pretty well together and seem resistant. Powered by a lithium-ion cell phone, a smart choice that combines the power and durability of lithium affordability of a mass-produced batteries. The menu is intuitive and relatively complete, demonstrating Aiptek competition in UI design. A switch on the top of the camera lens to change the macro, which does not produce sharper images, but allows some control over depth of field. In addition to balance white, the exhibition has MPVR and shutter control. The LCD screen is not great, but can be placed in any direction. My favorite feature is the video-in cable, which lets you connect your camera to a VCR or DVD player and record directly to flash disk. Sometimes leaving my camera connected to a TV for those moments when I see something I want to record and put on the Internet (Poor Man's TIVO). It is also a suitable tool for digitizing old tapes. While the video of 640 × 480 may not be suitable for archival purposes, the old VHS tapes not getting any younger. I am very excited about this camera that I have intention to buy another. I can buy third if for no other reason than to avoid the threat of the threat of the dreaded black box. Instead of installing the software you got with the camera, I opted instead to mount the camera as a unit into my USB port and drag the files asf flash memory card to my hard drive. I made great efforts to find a way to make those difficult ASF QuickTime MOV files, and I found a method that works quite well. I will post on the blog next, but this is only a sample: Quicktime Pro, VLC Player, and FFMPEG. Until then … Technorati Tags: technology, internet, video, myspace, youtube, TiVo, Google Video, DVR, video cameras
